Dani Garrett, LCMHCA
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate
I feel deeply honored to walk alongside clients as they explore their own paths toward healing, self-understanding, and greater connection with themselves and the world around them.
How I Think About Therapy
Many people come to therapy when something in their lives feels overwhelming, stuck, or difficult to make sense of. I see therapy as a space where we can slow down together and begin exploring those experiences with curiosity and compassion.
Many of the individuals I work with are navigating the effects of trauma, chronic stress, burnout, or difficult life experiences that continue to affect how they feel, relate to others, and move through daily life.
Over time, these experiences can create a sense of disconnection—from ourselves, from others, or from the direction we want our lives to move.
Therapy offers an opportunity to reconnect with yourself while developing new ways to understand and respond to life’s challenges.
What to Expect in Our Work Together
In sessions with me you can expect a thoughtful and supportive space where we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Our work may include exploring emotional patterns, reflecting on life experiences, and identifying ways to reconnect with your sense of meaning and direction. I also integrate mindfulness, breath awareness, and somatic approaches when they feel helpful, recognizing that stress and emotional experiences are often held not only in our thoughts but in our bodies as well.
For clients working through trauma, I often integrate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and integrate difficult experiences.
