Getting Started with Therapy or Psychological Evaluations
Beginning therapy or seeking a psychological evaluation can feel like an important step.
Many people reach out when they are looking for greater understanding of themselves, their relationships, or the challenges they have been navigating.
Others may be seeking clarity about learning, attention, or emotional experiences that have been difficult to explain.
Our goal is to make the process of getting started as thoughtful and straightforward as possible.
Whether you are seeking therapy for yourself, your child, or your family—or looking for a psychological evaluation for learning, attention, or emotional concerns—our team can help guide the process.
Finding the Right Fit
Many of the people drawn to our practice are thoughtful individuals or families who want to understand themselves more deeply.
Often they have tried to manage challenges by pushing harder, adapting to expectations, or trying to “fix” themselves. What has been missing is a deeper understanding of what is actually happening beneath the surface.
They are looking for a space where they can slow down, explore patterns with curiosity, and develop greater clarity about themselves and their relationships.
Our practice may be a good fit if you are looking for a thoughtful, relational approach to therapy or evaluation.

Things to Know
-
Therapy sessions can occur virtually or in-person, based on your preferences. Our offices in Huntersville and Cornelius are wheelchair accessible, inclusive, and conveniently located near public transportation.
If you’re completing an evaluation, testing appointments will be held in the office. In most cases, the initial appointment and feedback can be virtual.
-
We are in-network with most Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna plans.
Before your first appointment, we will make every effort to verify your benefits and share an estimate of your out-of-pocket cost for each appointment. There are times when we aren’t able to complete the verification in advance, as well as instances where we have been provided with inaccurate information. We always encourage clients to stay informed and do your own research as well.
-
Session fees are determined by a therapist’s licensure type:
60-Minute Initial Intake: $200 to $260
50-Minute Therapy Session: $150 to $210
75-Minute Therapy Session: $225 to $315
We prioritize transparency, and your new client paperwork will include a breakdown of administrative fees that you may encounter when working with us.
