Katie Janvrin, LCMHC
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
I believe that finding balance in life often means more than simply staying upright—it means learning how to navigate challenges in ways that feel sustainable and authentic.
How I Think About Therapy
I see therapy as a space to slow down and become more curious about ourselves—our emotions, our relationships, and the patterns that shape how we move through the world.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and capable individuals who find themselves feeling overwhelmed, stuck in certain relational patterns, or unsure how to make sense of their emotional experiences. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or quick solutions, I approach therapy as an opportunity to explore the deeper patterns that have developed over time and how they continue to shape our current relationships and sense of regulation.
I also work with neurodivergent adults and teens, including those exploring ADHD or autism. Developing a better understanding of how your brain processes the world can often bring a sense of clarity and self-compassion that opens the door to new ways of navigating life.
What To Expect In Our Work Together
In sessions with me you can expect a warm, collaborative space where curiosity and humor are welcome.
Our work often focuses on understanding emotional and relational patterns while also paying attention to how stress and overwhelm show up in the body. Many clients appreciate having a place where they can talk openly, explore experiences at their own pace, and begin to make sense of things that have felt confusing or difficult to name.
I’m also attentive to sensory and environmental needs, especially for neurodivergent clients, and aim to create a space where people feel comfortable being fully themselves without needing to mask or explain their experiences in the same ways they may have had to elsewhere.
The Importance of Fit
You might find working with me helpful if…

Anxiety, stress, or emotional overwhelm are making it harder to feel regulated or present in daily life
You are navigating a life transition and want space to process what is changing
You are neurodivergent—or exploring ADHD or autism—and want to better understand how your mind and sensory experiences work
You are someone who spends a lot of time caring for others and are trying to reconnect with your own needs and well-being
You are looking for therapy that allows space for thoughtful exploration rather than rushing toward quick fixes
