Preparing for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

setting up your initial consultation

Individuals can be referred to the KAP program by their therapist by using the referral form (found here) or can just call to get started. The initial consultation will gather some general information about your treatment needs and you’ll be given information for the psychiatric provider that we partner with.

medication Consultation

The psychiatric provider will gather detailed information about your medical and psychiatric history to ensure that you are healthy enough to take ketamine. The provider will discuss dosage levels, side effects and answer any medication-specific questions that you have. The provider is the only person to prescribe and modify your ketamine.

Program Intake Interview

After you are approved for ketamine treatment by the psychiatric provider, you’ll meet with your KAP therapist to do an intake interview. At this time, a detailed history will be gathered and your therapist will work with you to create a program tailored to you.
